WORKING WITH COUPLES & OTHER RELATIONSHIPS

Be they romantic (married or otherwise) or friendships or familial (siblings, parent/adult child) or work based ... all relationships have the potential for difficulty, conflict, misunderstanding, assumptions, stuckness, troubled times. Talking helps, because it offers the opportunity for all sides to be heard, and deeper understanding to be achieved and felt. From this standpoint, better decisions are made moving forward.

Initial appointments are one hour and may involve some history taking. This is a chance to get to know each other and for clients to see if they would like to continue. I can then offer, if therapeutically beneficial, a 1:1 session with each person. These sessions last 1 hour. Further sessions are then weekly or fortnightly and last either 1 or 1.5 hours. Typically at the 6th session we will review and clients then decide if they wish to continue their therapy.
